Sonam Kapoor is all thankful to her critics that despite of her flop films she is still in the film industry. Sonam Kapoor has done a handful of movies and yet is in search of a box office miracle. She is still surviving in the industry for which she is really thankful to her critics and fans who loved her work in her pat movies.
Right from ” Saawariya” to “Aisha”,” Mausam” and “Players” she did a good job but in temrs of box office collections, her films have not done well.
She was at the launch of film critic Anna MM Vetticad’s book – “The Adventures Of An Intrepid Film Critic” where she said, “Honestly, my films have not done very well but I am in the industry because of the critics. They have always liked me.”
For Sonam critics and filmmakers are all complements of each other. Neither of them can do without the other. She added, “I honestly feel that we need each other. We need somebody there. You need a referee at the end of the day. We need somebody’s perspective who has an intelligent view about things. You need critics because you need a review of what has been done and how do you better your product.”
Two projects have kept the diva busy these days, Anand L. Rai’s “Raanjhana” and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”.
